Thank you for a great year of open science!
The first year of student-projects has come to an end.
We have tested different ways of approaching the project-designs, we have discussed our visions for open science and now we are ready to take Open Science o the next level.
Thank you for your input and involvement!
We look forward to more science, more openness, and more discussions in 2018!
Open Science Symposium
We finished off 2017 with an open science symposium.
Both students, researchers and companies made it a great and inspiring day for the 65 participants. If you missed the presentations, you may be lucky to find them online here.
The day was concluded with dinner for Open Science Partners. NEWTEC sponsored participation of students at the dinner – Thank you!
Let’s repeat the success next year – but maybe not in December.
What motivates you?
An important topic for the Open Science Symposium was visions and motivation.
Both students, researchers, and companies were represented in a session about the present and future of open science. Read more about the session here.
The take-home message from the students was:
If you show us interest by commenting on our data or invite us to visit your company, we will repay you a thousand fold in motivation and science!
You can do it today. Visit the OSF here
At the symposium, Stine gave us an update on the funding situation and som perspective on how to increase funding and science in the future.
See you in 2018
